JOHN GRISHAM

John Grisham was born on February 8, 1955 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He majored in accounting at Mississippi State University and graduated from law school at Ole Miss in 1981. He practiced law for a decade and was elected to the state House of Representatives in 1983. He finished his first book, A Time to Kill, in 1987, which was published in 1988. After A Time to Kill was published, Grisham has written a novel every year.
Grisham lives with his wife of 16 years, Renee, and their two children, Ty, 13, and Shea, 11. He is not only an author but also the local Little League commissioner. He has built six ballfields on his property and over 350 kids on 26 Little League teams have played there.
