The main character in this book is Rudy Baylor, who is not a lawyer yet, but a student in law school. For one of Rudy's classes, he had to give free adivce to senior citizens. One day, Rudy went to the Senior Citizens Building and met Dot and Buddy Black, whose son, Donnay Ray, had leukemia. Their problem was that their insurance company was refusing to pay for the Donnay Ray's transplant. Rudy goes to work and sues the insurance company for ten million dollars.
             The insurance company offers $75,000 to Dot and Buddy Black to settle the case without going to court, but they refuse. As Rudy, who just passed the bar exam, is fighting for the Blacks and trying to win against the insurance company, Donnay Ray dies of leukemia. Dot and Buddy want a lot more than ten million dollars now. The insurance company killed their son by not paying for his treatment. Can Rudy, a rookie lawyer with not much experience, beat a big, wealthy insurance company?
